email encryption

A quick post about email encryption. As most people on this site know, email is easily readable by anyone. One measure to help prevent this and provide some measure of security is encryption. From memory, PGP was created and almost eliminated as a secure public key encryption available to the public, but has survived as public domain due to various legal battles with the intelligence community.

Anyway, I have installed GnuPG (an open source resource) using Enigmail as a Thunderbird plug-in on Mac OS X. I am not a tech, nor are my above facts necessarily correct. You can do your own research. But I will post a useful link below for anyone interested in encrypted email.
