Im going to have to carry an ID card with a lot of personal information on it. I wonder how it will be possible to disable or else make the information unreadable by a scanner. Ild prefer for it to be "unreadable" since I dont want a lot of legal hassle if it is unreadable to the authorities here.

Right now all I have to carry is a card, no chip, with my photo and details on it.

Would wrapping it in silver foil work?

Wrapping it in foil

Yes wrapping it in foil works well. I often fold aluminum foil to the size of where I put currency in my wallet and it is common knowledge amoung security experts that this is sufficent protection. There is also the Alumi-wallet which is guaranteed to protect IDs and credit cards. I have also seen products that you can inividually store cards to protect them. The common denominator is that even small quanities of metal can protect anything you need to from prying eyes.

Best of Luck,

Raine

Thank you! I think I will

Thank you! I think I will invest in a metal sleeve for the card. I dislike where this latest move is heading for my chosen home, and am considering new options.

Best wishes
