I noticed today ib the Dr's surgery a continuous loop TV info blurb that told patients that choosing the right boojk for the very young was a diffficult and important task....a reading list was available that resoinsible mothers or fathers should use ..... get them young!

lol - they do do that, some of the books they recommend are quite good for teaching kids to read, but some of them are terrible, especially the ones containing rampant consumerism - it does make you wonder why parents are deemed incapable of picking suitable books for their children.

i belive they are talking about...

@Delta,

I believe they are talking about the rampid push to brainwash our children into buying in on the rat race. you know, hording and consuming large amount of material items to make them happy, image, etc etc.

If you look at the majority of childrens book it seems as thought their is a huge trend. take a peak you may find it interesting.

My children have their fingerprints on file to pull out a library book at their school - didnt think anything of it at the time, now thinking how stupid I was to sign that consent form !!

Fingerprints.

Your pretty much screwed if you ever got your finger prints done when you were younger. Another way to control, and search for you once again.

Why is it that the handful of

Why is it that the handful of us are speaking out against this but when most parents are confronted with this they do as Kay did and think nothing of it? Is society really that unconcerned? That worries me. Not the fingerprinting, but that society could be so disengaged that people really just don't care.
