Eye/Biometric Scanners Being Installed
So, this company called Global Rainmaker Inc is setting up eye and biometric scanners in the city of Leon, Mexico. They are using it as a tester for the tech. They are pushing for the entire planet to be covered with their scanners within ten years.
They are giving the usual "for your own protection" spiel, with dark undertones. They say that criminals are required to register, and everyone else may "opt-in." But at one point in the article, a spokesman says that not opting in would not be a good idea. He said it would make it look like you had something to hide, and you "wouldn't want that."
They also mentioned tech to track internet browsing, say online shopping, then track when you cross the threshold of a store and buy the product you looked at. GRI claims that this tech will revolutionize everything, as the only thing you'd ever have to carry would be your eyes (they want to get rid of keys for cars and houses, credit cards, etc).

so, interesting article... Love the fact the the are trying to decide whether people get to be reformed or not. can't yo just feel the love!
In the article it talks about people who have been convicted of a crime like "shop lifting" and how they will automatically be linked into the system. These people will be tagged for life! for instance, think about the 16 year old kids who steals because it's cool, then 15 years later he can't walk into a super market without being watched. Does that sound fair? i think not. The Panopticon has no boundaries.
And don't care how it looks, i won't be opting in for anything like that.
